XII Congreso Iberoamericano de Gráfica Digital SIGraDi Cuba 2008
The Iberoamerican Society of Digital Graphics call to participate to the XII International Congress that will be held on 1-5 December 2008 in La Habana, Cuba. The meeting is organized by the José Antonio Echeverría Polytechnic University (CUJAE), CUJAE, principal institution in Cuba the field of sciences and architecture.
In this activity where will present selected works about the development and use of digital systems in architecture, urbanism, sustainable environment, industrial design, graphic design, new media, art and multimedia
The main theme for the year 2008 is Digital Graphics and Applied Computer Science: Cooperation, Integration and Development.
The presented works can apply to the proposed theme and/or to SIGRADI interest areas that contribute to the knowledge field divided in the following areas and focus on:

Free Software. Development of Open Source Products for Digital Graphics and Applied Computer Science. Development of Applications Based on Free Software.

Applications that Integrate the Use of Commercially Available Proprietary Products and Open Source Products or Free Software.

Cooperative Development of Applications. Coexistence and Compatibility of Commercial Proprietary Products and Open Source Products.

Policies, Strategies and Procedures for the Cooperation, Integration and Development through the Use and Application of Digital Graphics and Applied Computer Science. The Public Sector and the Mixed Business Sector.

Role of the University in the Preparation of Human Resources (Under Graduate and Post-Graduate) as a Result of Research on Digital Graphics and Applied Computer Science.

Cooperation and Exchange in Different Areas of Digital Graphics Application. Graphics Design, Industrial Design, Informational Design, Social Communication, Journalism, Movie Making, Television, Fine Arts, Architecture and Engineering. Similarities and Differences.
Papers are invited on all topics relevant to the design computing discourses today, but not limited to the conference theme.
